Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do I need a SIM card? Yes. You need to go to your nearest cellular store and get a sim card (you’ll need to take proof of residence and an ID to get fica approved). Then, once you have the sim card activated, you will need to load data onto the sim card as that is how the GPS device will be tracked.
  1. How much data does the GPS device use? GPS devices take up to 150kb per day (4.5MB per month)
  1. Does the device need to be charged? Yes, the device comes with a charger. You obviously don’t need to have your pet wearing the collar all the time, but it is ideal to put it on in any circumstances where you feel worried that your pet could go missing.
  1. What if my pet gets stolen and they remove the collar? We cant protect your pet in all circumstances. We offer a gps device that can be tracked via a mobile app. If your pet goes missing, and is still wearing the GPS collar (and its charged), you can login to your app and locate the GPS device which will help you locate your beloved pet.
  1. What is the name of the app? The app we use to locate the GPS device is called “SeTracker2” – download here for Android, and here for IOS.

  1. I am struggling to register on the APP? it may be because you are using symbols in your password. You may only use letters and numbers, with the total password being between 8 and 15 characters.
  2. The location is changing in real time? There is a very important setting in the App called “Location Update Schedule”. This setting allows you to change the auto update schedule between 1minute, 10 minutes and 1 hour. Once set, the location will update accordingly. If you select 1 hour, the battery will last longer, and with 1 minute, the battery will go quicker. You can manage this setting depending on the risk of your pet running away and getting lost

Instructions

  1. Unpack device and charge for several hours
  2. Purchase a sim card and load with some data (5mb or more)
  3. Scan the QR code inside the device pamphlet or download SEtracker2 from your IOS or Android store
  4. Insert the micro-sim card
  5. Turn on the device by holding in the button until you hear it chime
  6. Scan the QR code on the back of the actual device, to link it to the app (This will be asked of you while registering on the APP itself)
  7. Work your way through the APP setup and ensure you make use of all the great features!
